Good Sound but a few little problems November 18, 2008
My main concern with a handsfree device was good sound and the Blue Ant has it. People on the other end sometimes don't even know that I am on a speakerphone and the speaker itself goes loud enough so I can hear it well even on the highway. When I had some trouble pairing multiple phones, customer service was courteous and helpful. It comes with a car and a house charger, the battery has a good life and the product clearly announces pertinent information like whether it is connected and if it needs a charge.br /br /That said, the product says it does voice calling and voice activating answering - neither of which work - although I didn't care so much because you can answer by pushing the button easily enough. The one thing that did bother me, however, is that although it will pair with multiple phones - it will never connect with the second phone even when the first is turned off. The only way to make it switch phones is to do this neverending series of turning the phone and the blueant off and on and make it go back to the setup and eventually you hit the right combination to make it switch. So, in summary - a good speakerphone if it is only your phone you are interested in and you don't care about voice activation.

Better that expected. Like that I can take it with me when I travel and use in rental cars. Also visiting the family over the hoildays and can will take with me. Great reception. Don't forget to take the charger.

The unit is terrific. Its problem is that sometimes the volume is very hard to hear. I have given several as gifts and they have the same problem. Blue Ant says that is is a reception problem. This is not true. When the volume is good it is terrific.

I have a manual drive sports car and this product is an excellent tool for answering calls and talking on the cell phone without having to take eyes off the road or miss a shift. I bought this STR model following purchase of the original Supertooth. This latest model has great improvements, especially the built in mic and very fast connection to my cell phone. The volume and clarity are outstanding and it does not need charging more often than monthly. It is a great product that I have given as gifts and recommended to others.
Multiple phones support November 8, 2008
If you want to use the BlueAnt 3, be aware that although you can pair it with multiple phones, it only reconnects with the last phone it was connected with. The only way to connect it with the second phone is to use the manual option on the Bluetooth menu of your phone 'connect to BlueAnt 3'br /br /Unfortunately the iPhone does not have this option so you have to re-pair each time a different phone uses the BlueAnt 3. The firmware of the BlueAnt 3 can NOT be upgraded, so they can not fix this bug. The BlueAnt 3 should first look for the last connected phone, if this is not found it should look for previously paired phones. It does not do this.
