I really like my Instinct. It's not completely mature, and sprint kind of stinks for making us subscribe to such a spendy package just to use it. But overall it's a pretty capable phone for a 1st generation.br /br /Since a week after I got it I was so ticked off with the battery performance. If you do anything other than have it in standbye mode it runs out quick. after a month it runs out in less than half the advertised standbye/talk time rating. Samsung really screwed up with this. br /br /And I figured since it was a small recessed battery there was no hope that a big battery would come out. Thank goodness someone thought out of the box to do one that extends out and offers a modified cover.br /br /I'm one of those people who don't mind if my phone is bigger and heavier. I hope to see an even bigger battery that fits over most of the back! 10 years ago my old phone lasted 3-4 days without a recharge.. It had a huge battery, but that was fine!.. I want to be able to go on a 1-2 day trip without bringing my charger and worrying about it.br /br /

The product shipped way faster than I expected and long before Amazon's estimated ship date. It comes with a different slide cover to accomodate the larger battery and makes the phone a little bulkier, but I really can't complain. The life on this bad boy now seems to have multiplied quadruply. With the batteries that Sprint sends with the Instinct, for a couple hours, I would listen to my music, surf the web, check emails, and before u knew it, the phone would be at 30% power after having been fully charged. This one however lets you go the distance. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants to love and be able to use their Instinct without having to annoyingly recharge or switch batteries every few hours. I previously had a blackjack (also by Samsung) and at least they sent you an extended life battery. I had to search this one out since Sprint doesn't seem to interested to offer one yet. Buy, Buy, Buy!!! You won't regret it. I'm actually considering ordering a second...
