The protective film is a must for every iphone and ipod touch owner. It eliminates smudges and fingerprints by about 90%, and the other 10% will be significantly less perceptible and you can just wipe them off casually on your shirt, pant leg or any cloth. The film also reduces screen glare and protects it from any scratches. I cannot speak for other brands also offered on amazon, but Power Support's product works beautifully. It wasn't specially hard to apply (just gotta put a little care into it) and after about 3 months of use, my film looks just like it did when I put it on. Hasn't scratched, gotten air bubbles or attempted to come off at any point on its edges. I'm very, very satisfied with it.

I just purchased this product from the Apple Store, so I'm writing this review primarily for people who are simply unsure whether or not this is worth the money. My thoughts:br /br /*makes the screen very smooth and much easier to usebr /*truly reduces glare, dust, and fingerprintsbr /*Does look a bit grainy, but it is something you will not even care about once you've seen all the benefits.br /br /Basically I had the phone for a week with no case or cover. I realized just how fragile this Iphone 3g is, so I got a polycarbonite case that covers the back ($15 on Amazon with shipping, Inspiritech) which was nice, but it needed something more. Dust was all over the cover and it also had fingerprints galore. I went to the Apple store and they put it on for me and applied it perfectly. I am now looking at the most clean, smudge-free, and nearly dust-free (some dust will still be there, but much less) screen ever. I was on the fence about this product too, but wow is it worth it to make the phone so much more aesthetically appealing!

I bought this product at the apple store. It came with two screen protectors. I love the fact that I no longer see my fingerprints all over the screen. I used to clean the screen compulsively, and now I don't have to. I do think the screen has become slightly less touch sensitive now, that's why I docked a star.

I really only bought this to protect the screen. The product is fairly thick and will surely stop scratches, but I was concerned it would interfere with performance.br /Well, I think it actually helps performance. Yeah, I know - sounds crazy but...br /br /1) It doesn't affect the screens sensitivity AT ALL.br /2) My finger slides across the screen better with the anti-glare film on the screen than it does on the glassbr /3) I used to get fingerprints all over the screen and now I don't get any. br /4) No glare on the screen when I'm outsidebr /br /I did my research and decided to pay a little more for this product and I'm glad I did. I've had it installed for over a month and it looks brand new. It comes with 2 screens and I know it will be a long time until I need the second one. I strongly recommend getting the anti-glare film.br /Just buy this one and you'll me glad you didbr /br /

First, let me say that if you follow the instructions, this screen applies very easily. I have applied about a dozen screen films to various notebooks and small electronics, and this is the first one that did not have any air bubbles. The easiest way to do that is to keep the backing on the film, and peel it back slowly, as you apply the film. With the edge of a credit card, push down the film, and there you go: NO BUBBLES.br /br /As far as the product goes, it does make the screen have a little less luster, but it makes it easier to see in high light. It is nicer to the touch. The screen has a softer feeling, as apposed to the glossy feel of the naked screen. The material does not show finger smudges as easily as the iphone does with no protector. br /br /Yes, the iPhone has an "anti-scratch" screen. Accidents happen. Its much easier to replace a scratched or marred screen protector than it is to get a brand new phone.
