 Decent protection, good accessibility, but not perfect. December 25, 2008
Considering all the necessary openings that you have to have in order to operate your G1, this case still does a good job of protecting what it can. That said, it's not perfect. The smooth plastic makes the phone even more slipperier than before; it would've been better if the back was given a textured matte finish instead. A date with some fine grit sandpaper may be in order as a result, but your own tastes may vary.br /br /One of the kickstands doesn't lock into place when in the closed position; precision instrument this is not. Frankly when installed this case looks rather clumsy and incomplete even though I understand why the cutouts are necessary.br /br /To the credit of its design, the case is easy to install and remove, and it DOESN'T have that stupid, oh-so-cute heart-shaped cutout for the camera and speaker on its back like one of its competitors does. Access to all controls and ports on the phone is easy; this case doesn't get in the way. The kickstand(s) when opened works great, though I do wonder how long the hinges will last. All in all an okay design for the price.

I bought a rubber black shell case with a belt clip holder on amazon and i hated it. When i received it late in the mail it was bulky, the buttons were hard to get to, and the clear clip looked horrible with the black case. I went to a t mobile store near me and found this clear case and i love it. It fits perfectly adding no bulk. I easily can fit it into the pouch thingy that came wit the phone. All the buttons were accessible and it was easy to remove. I didn't have any problems charging the phone wit the case on maybe the last reviewer didn't snap it on all the way. The case protects the phone perfectly and at the store it was only 9.99. 14.99 plus tax and shipping from this seller is a rip off go to the t mobile store and try it on and decided...
Good but needs some tweaks November 25, 2008
I bought this at the T-Mobile store and it makes my G1 Phone immediately look cooler. It went from looking "like something the Soviet military designed", to looking very cool with the translucent cover. The upside is that the cover (which comes in 3 pieces by the way) can be removed very easily. br /br /The downside is that you have to remove the lower part to re-power the G1. That is a tiny hassle. But I still like this case, so I give it 4 stars. br /br /... no idea what the "kickstand" is for...
