Excellent Camping Stove! October 10, 2008
We bought this product so we could heat up water for instant coffee, oatmeal, cup of soup, and hot cocoa. It did the job very well! It takes a little bit of time depending on the amount of water you have in the kettle and how cold the water is. We are more than pleased with it's performance. It heats up well enough to put a cast iron griddle on it to cook eggs and pre-cooked bacon. I highly recommend this product instead of a bulky gas stove.

It folds out into a mostly square box with a hole at the bottom and a grate for cooking on top. What I love about this is that in addition to being a good sterno stove, it also is very useful as a mini-grill for cooking. For example, I put it in a firepit, drop about 10 pieces of charcoal in and I can cook breakfast using very little charcoal. I think I have cooked with it either with wood or over wood in the past. I've had it for about 10-15 years and it has held up well.
