Don't throw away those expensive JBL or Bose loudspeakers, repair them with these new repair kits from Parts Express! The surrounds in these kits are exact replacements for each particular model, so your JBL or Bose driver will perform as it did when it was new from the factory. Each kit contains supplies to repair two speakers and includes foam or cloth surrounds, plastic shims, two dust caps, 1 oz. of adhesive (specially formulated for various speaker cone materials), 5 foam swabs for application of glue, and complete repair instructions. A utility knife and isopropyl alcohol are recommended to remove old surround material, but are NOT included in this kit.

easy repair using this kit September 2, 2008
I used this kit to repair a pair of bose 301 series II speakers I bought off a neighbor. Installation was simple. The estimated 2 hours is about right if you work strait through. Most of that time is waiting for the glue to dry before moving to the next step. The written structions were fair, but the photo illustrations were of little use because they were not large enough. My "new" speakers sound great. I can't say good as new because I never had them new. Overall a worthwhile endevor. I saved a few cubic feet of landfill space and got a great pair of speakers in the process for a total outlay of about $60 speakers and repair.
