The 2-Port HDMI Splitter with HDCP compatibility by Impact Acoustics will connect an HDMI equipped source to two HDTV displays equipped with HDMI inputs. HDCP compatibility means this splitter will work with high definition video from sources including DirecTV, Dish Network, cable television, and HD-DVD players. Impact Acoustics splitters are designed to support 480i, 480P, 720P, 1080i and 1080P resolutions. Cascadable up to 3 layers, one output may be used to feed up to 8 displays from one source. Equalizer circuitry enables this device to transmit an HDMI signal to distances of up to 80ft between source and display.

 Great product and works well November 4, 2008
Used to split HD cable box to main HDTV and a smaller HDTV out on a porch using a 20 foot HDMI cable. Easy to set up and was great solution to have HD cable tv to second tv without having to run a cable through walls to the TV outside or renting a second box from the cable company.

Unit 2:1 hdmi splitter worked fine for about a month then just crapped out. Transformer plug output within spec, so problem with unit itself. Check for warranty.....

I never thought that I would actually take the time to write a review here on Amazon. I must say however that I have benefitted greatly from reviews that others have written so I guess I am trying to return the favor. I have learned so much over the last few months as I have slowly put together our complicated Home Theater. Again, I could not have done it without Amazon. I actually got quotes from so-called local home theater experts, they were insanely high, highway robbery...and I can safely say that they would not have done the job with as much care and dilligence as I have with some assistance from 2 of my young kids. br /Well about this Splitter, I tried other HDMI splitters that were in the $60-$80 range, and were very light in weight. They did not work for my set-up. You see I have a sharp 65 aquos lcd tv (6ft hdmi cable run), and an Optoma HD7100 projector which does not have a HDMI input (30 ft hdmi cable run). So it seems that the other cheap splitters had a problem with the fact that I have by necessity a hdmi/dvi adapter at the end of my 30 ft hdmi cable in order to connect to the projector. I was never able to get those splitter to show the projectors image, the best I got was a screen full of "snow". The only way I was able to use our PS3 was to connect it directly from the PS3 to the projector via the 30ft hdmi cable with the hdmi-dvi adapter on the end. I later read in Amazon and other web site reviews folks saying when reviewing the cheaper splitters, "don't buy this splitter if you use DVI, or don't buy if you have a HDMI-DVI adapter". br /So I ran across this Cables To Go 40926 Impact Acoustics 2-Port Hdmi Splitter on Amazon. I figured I had nothing to lose since I could get it directly from Amazon and relatively cheap (for $142) with free two-day shipping, knowing that if it didn't work I could return it with no problems (Amazon is Great)...this item is has a nice weight to it, it's nice and sturdy with the rubber thingy's on the bottom... and lo and behold as soon as we got it in we went and hook it up in a couple of minutes time and voila it worked perfectly despite my HDMI-DVI adapter , and long hdmi cable situation. same exact picture as a direct hook-up. We were very excited to have it work for the first time. And so i went on to try different situations. Both Tv and projector on at the same time, both worked perfectly simultaneously. TV on projector off, perfect. Projector on , tv off, perfect. Very cool not to have to mess with switching cables around now just to switch the PS3 from the LCD TV to the projector, etc. So if you have had a problem with finding a splitter for your HDMI-DVI setup, or long cable run set-up, get this...I guess this thing enhances the power of the signal and extends it to where the splitter actually does its job no matter what. br /Well I did it, and I hope there is someone out there that may benefit from this review... br /...and one last thing...I know everyone needs to make a living...but don't let yourselves be robbed by those electronics guys out there that make everything sound so secretive and they have all the "special knowledge" that no else could possibly know...they quote you $800 for an item that you could find on Amazon for $150-$200, etc, etc. Turns out later, you have them do the job and they complicate things even more, you still have to do half the work yourself. They never would have known about this splitter issue. br /Put a little bit of time into it and its very satisfying. br /Best of Luck!

I bought this because I had to run a HDMI cable to two televisions from a single source. I am very happy that this has worked since the single source I was running it from is a Pure AV 3 to 1 HDMI switch. Longest length is about 50 ft and I have had no problems with the splitter.

Installs in seconds .... just plug in and connect. Works as advertised. perfectly splits my HD Cable box from my den to the kitchen (50ft away). Picture looks great. No degradation detected.
