i purchased 5 of these phones for my New Jersey office from my telephone wiring contractor CROWN TELECOM SERVICE (732) 681-3903 and they are a dream. they were up and running with a little programming.pEasy to use, cheap, and have big system features like intercom, page, hold, LCD display, etc. Phone systems cost thousands of dollars for the same features. pDon't fall for the big system hype. Have these installed and save yourself alot of money!

I purchased 4 of these phones for my small business. They are terrible. While everyone in technical support admits I have tried everything to get the phones to work they do not. I can talk on them but if I put a call on hold and pick it up at a different extension the customer can't hear us....we sound like a Mickey Mouse organization....Avoid these phones no matter how nice customer serivce is they can't help.

I strongly disagree with the first review because it is nearly impossable to say they are fragilebrI strongly agree with the second review and I already have 4 ATT 944 telephones, 4 ATT 955 telephones, and 4 ATT 964 telephones in my office building and I also plan on adding ATT 955 and ATT 964 telephones to every room of my floor.pOn a seperate issue...pI own 4 ATT 944 telephones, 4 ATT 955 telephones, and 4 ATT 964 telephones since the first day on the market and I have NEVER had ANY problems with ANY of my telephones! I know that I can't say my true feelings on your sickening reviews, but I can say that your reviews are sad and angering, and maybe if you would read the manual FULLY and maybe called a telephone engineer, you would not need to bash ATT. I LOVE MY ATT 944 955 AND 964 TELEPHONES!

I reccommend the ATT 944 4-line Intercom Speakerphone to anyone who wishes to purchase it. The phone has all the features of a big business system, but without the cost. I use it as a stand-alone unit, but I plan to eventually have one everywhere in my house. Yes, I do think that it is a great idea for people with a family in a house. The paging feature is my favorite. It is very easy to tell someone they have telephone call and it's fun to make announcements! I cannot think of any flaws with this corded phone, so I rated it 5 stars!
