okay phone April 10, 2008 This phone is an old model and may be hard to find. I need to replace mine now because after a couple years of use the button under the receiver does not work correctly 50% of the time. Sometimes it will not connect me with a dialtone or a caller when I receive calls. It is like it is stuck in flash mode and sometimes will suddenly connect. Or if I pick up and I'm not connected, I can push the button over and over until it will finally connect me. Then it can disconnect me at any moment by going back into 'flash' mode. br /br /I like a feature on this phone and can't find it with any other corded phone, and that's why I haven't yet replaced it. The feature allows me to listen to my messages on the receiver rather than on the speaker. I work in a small office with three other people and it is important that I am able to listen to my messages with this privacy. If anyone knows of a current phone model that does this, please let me know. Even if I can buy this phone again, I'm leary because of the problem I described above.
Wish I Could Give 0 Stars December 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is by far the worst phone I've ever had. It worked for approximately one week and then just stopped completely, and even when it did work the quality was not great. I guess you get what you pay for. I'm going back to Panasonic. I truly wish I could give Zero stars because that's what it deserves.
ATT 1818 Telephone October 9, 2007 This is a phone that my husband I both really like. It is easy to program. Has everything you need at a reasonable price. Hope they keep this one around for a while.
ATT 1818 Digital Answering phone January 16, 2007 The design of the phone is sloppy.br /The handset seems to hang unstablely to the phone.br /Would not recommand this phone to anyone.br /
ATT should have done better March 24, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Same problems that others have noted:br /br /The cord keeps coming out when you're talking. The reason is that the cord release tab sticks out too far and is easily bumped. A solution is to cut the tab shorter, but you shouldn't have to do that.br /br /The voice quality on the answering machine is abysmal, both for the recorded message and the incoming calls. Often the message is unintelligible. I have two of these units and both are bad.br /br /I am tossing these machines and getting something better.
