Product Description The Crosley 302 Phone returns to the wall in this Henry Dreyfuss tribute. Dreyfuss, considered a brilliant industrial designer, worked with Bell Telephone Laboratories designing telephones that were sensitive to consumers' desire to suit a variety of home environments. Well known for the 302 style Desk Phone, he later shifted his design efforts to include this wall unit allowing consumers to walk with the phone while cradling it on their shoulder. This unified and balanced form replaced the awkward and ungainly shapes of earlier models. Would you believe Dreyfuss actually used measurements from over 2000 faces to determine the distance between the average mouth and ear? The Crosley 302 Wall Phone features the nostalgic rotary dial but actually functions with push button technology. No more waiting for that rotary dial to make its excruciating slow rotation.

Crosley Phone September 30, 2008 The Crosley phone is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. I always know where the phone is and it is alway charged. In case of power failure, I will have a phone connection. My complaint is that yes, the phone receiver is heavy. You have to hold with one hand and dial with another, or put the phone down. No big deal in my mind. I enjoy it!
Retro Phone April 9, 2008 Matches the colors in my kitchen perfectly.(red phone). The shipping was very fast. The phone works perfectly it's just like using an old 50's phone. The weight is substantial.Very happy with the purchase.
Crosley Red Wall Phone February 22, 2008 love the color. More cranberry than red. If you're not using your hands to hold the phone, it's hard to balance the handset between your shoulder and ear. if you are use to push button phones, it takes a while to find the number locations. sound seems to waver, but it could be me trying to keep the phone balanced between my ear and shoulder. overall, i'm happy with it.
It is exactly what it looks like... January 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This phone was purchased for my wife to go in our vintage inspired red kitchen. It is perfect. As noted in other reviews, the handset is fairly heavy. If I were rating this phone for every possible negative I would also note that there is this annoying tether that connects the handset to the wall. However, this is not a big negative because we already have a set of cordless phones for use around the house. They are used for long conversations as we can take them into the room with the sofa and lay around conversing for hours while our servants fan us and feed us grapes.
This phone is first, a decorative item. As such, it does an amazing job. Every time my wife looks at it on the wall she kisses me and says, "I love my red phone!" Second, this is a telephone. It gets an amazingly clear signal. There is no static whatsoever. I'm told this relates to the annoying tether I mentioned earlier. Another nice thing about the tether is that because of it, I always know where this phone is. Unlike the cordless phones which may or may not be returned to their cradles after use, this phone is always returned to the same place.
In summary, if you are expecting something cordless and portable, this phone is not for you. If you are looking for a corded wall phone with a vintage look and a colorful twist, you will not be disappointed.
Hard to find a red wall phone September 8, 2007 I really had a difficult time locating a red wall phone. This one is ok at best. The handset is very heavy & not designed to "lean on your shoulder" while doing other things. I've also had a problem with a "humming" sound while talking on it. Other phones do not do this in the same jack.
