Product Description Crosley CR56-PI 1950's Pay Phone - Hot Pink. The very familiar 3-slot style payphone was first introduced in the 1950's and remained virtually unchanged until 1965. This appropriately christened prepay-style pay station will take you back to the days of old fashioned phone booths and 10-cent phone calls. Believe it or not, its predecessor was a post pay-style phone that actually allowed the caller to place their call and then pay once finished. While you don't have to pay for your calls with this Crosley replica, you will enjoy the functional coin slots complete with Crosley jingle as your money is deposited into the coin bank in the base of the unit.

Well, it's really pretty...yep, that's about it. November 5, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this phone on semi-impulse; I'd seen it in PB's catalog, and liked it, so when Toys R Us included it as a doorbuster, I picked it up. It's 2 days later, and I'm taking it back to the store. If it wasn't so pretty, it would have gone back the minute I pulled it out of the box; it's basically a big hunk of cheap plastic, and I'm almost afraid I'll break it just dialing numbers. The handset itself seems nice and sturdy; if the rest of the phone felt the same, this would be a definite keeper. But, it doesn't, so back to the store it goes. I would gladly pay double the amount for a product of quality; this phone just is not a good value.
So Cool A Hit with Everyone! June 7, 2007 Thank you, this phone makes a hit with everyone who enters our scrapbook room. The kids can't believe it really works. It's a great replica and a highlight of the room.
Disappointing sound quality April 10, 2007 There's a persistent buzz coming from the line that wasn't there with other phones. That makes this phone annoying to use, which is too bad because it's cool looking.
LOVE IT! March 28, 2007 My husband and I recently got married and purchased a brand new home. I decided to decorate our kitchen in a 1950's bakery theme and I saw this phone and had to have it. I could not be happier. The folks at Crosley do a GREAT job making retro look new again! As a child of the 80's, I am in love with the 50's and I am SO glad Crosley helped me put that special touch into my kitchen!!!!
Too Cool January 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have an old tin sign that says "Pay Phone--5 Cents". When I saw this phone, I had to get it. Love the pink. Very long cord, which is nice. My grandkids love to put coins in and actually hear the drop into the ching-ching, before making a call.
