frustrating December 2, 2008 Although overall the set works well, we find it frustrating that the phones record and list all calls as MISSED CALLS, even though we answer them. This results in having to manually delete every call from the caller ID log in order to reset to zero. Also not very pleased with the functioning of the phones as it relates to the distance from their base. I lose signal even while within our home, and definitely when outside on our patio.
All 6.0 phones probably work well... so why not insist on a lighted keypad...? December 1, 2008 The Panasonic 6.0 works well and has big buttons but--big buttons don't help in the dark! I returned this and bought an ATT 6.0--also with big buttons and that light up... Also I can reassure you that the ATT 6.0 has "at least" equally superb range and sound quality.br /br /I suspect that all 6.0 cordless phones are pretty good. I am only prejudiced against Vtech due to experiences with previous models. Vtech also tends to be much cheaper and I suspect that it is somewhat true that you get what you pay for.br /br /Maybe I am incorrect. Maybe the Panasonic 6.0 keypad does light up. But mine didn't seem to and so I returned it before it got used. I recommend that you look for 'lighted keypad' as a listed feature. Can you find 'lighted keypad' listed here? Well I can't, nor did mine seem to light up when I had it in my hand. In my opinion, it is rather basic to be able to dial in the dark if necessary. If you like the "big button" feature than I suspect you will also like having some light with which to see them...! Leaving out that light is inexcusable in my opinion.br /br /Therefore we went with the ATT 6.0 and turned the volume up to maximum. Wow what a difference from all previous cordless phones. Even from the other end of the line we can hear the user of a 6.0 phone much more crisply from any part of the house. I do not doubt the reviewers here who attest that the Panasonic 6.0 works well. All I can say is that the ATT 6.0 works at least as well--and also has a lighted keypad. br /br /Incidentally, the ATT 6.0 boasts in writing, on the box, to have the best range of any cordless phone due to a unique antenna design. I believe that the Panasonic 6.0 is for all practical purposes just as good, judging by the reviews. However only the ATT 6.0 puts such a claim in writing. I am not saying that this makes the ATT any better. I am only saying that this confirms the ATT to be, in all probability, "at least" as good as the Panasonic--in addition to having a lighted keypad.
Great phone with no interference... December 1, 2008 This phone works great - no interference even in a heavily populated apartment building with lots of wireless networking around. All three handsets work great - plus, I can customize the phonebook on each one so I don't have to go through long lists of numbers to get to the one I want (e.g. in my office I only store the numbers I use for work, the one in the living room has friends and family on it, etc).br /br /Battery life appears to be excellent so far - I do a lot of teleconferencing that can last for 2-3 hours and have yet to have a battery run low during that time. I also like the voicemail notification (I don't use the answer machine) since it gives a notice on the display and flashes the light on top - I can quickly see if I have any messages waiting instead of having to actually pickup the phone.br /br /The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the volume when using a headset. There are volume controls for all three ways to use this phone - standard, speakerphone, and headset. The standard and speakerphone volumes are excellent, but the headset volume is a little too low even when set to maximum. Fortunately, my Plantronics headset has a bit of volume boost, so I can get it to a level that works well.br /br /Other than that one tiny issue, I have been very happy with this phone!
They work November 30, 2008 They work as expected. They hold a charge real well. Worth the money I paid for them.
Phone system works fine for us November 30, 2008 We bought this to replace an ATT digital answering system that stopped taking messages. The Panasonic phones are easy to use. Setup was very simple as the instructions are will written and easy to follow.br /We have used the phone outside over 100 feet from a base and it works fine with no signal drop. The intercom feature is very helpful from upstairs to downstairs. No more yelling across our home. The ability to pick up messages from any phone is great as our answering machine base is in an upstairs office.
