Received damaged due to inadequate packing April 3, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Before ordering this item I saw reviews stating that it had been received damaged. The same happened to my order. Evidently Amazon is unable to rectify this type of problem. I made a complaint by email and by telephone. Amazon will replace items and provide a refund. The agent I spoke to said he could pass my complaint onto the shipping department, but there is no feedback mechanism in place which, acknowledges receipt of the complaint by that department and its intent to improve packing in future. Without that I will not order this item from Amazon again.
Great product but beware of Amazon's sloppy packaging February 23, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
These are excellent blank DVD-Rs.br /I have yet to encounter any problemsbr /with the Maxell brand, which is notbr /the case with some of the competing brands.br /br /However . . . I cannot recommend that br /you order it from Amazon.br /br /The Amazon packaging br /was so poor that when I opened the box, br /I discovered DVDs everywhere inside it,br /the bottom of the container had brokenbr /open and the spindle, also broken,br /was in several pieces.br /br /Why?br / Instead of packing the item securelybr /with enough plastic packing around br /the item, Amazon used as little packingbr /as possible.br / The result. Damaged DVDs and the spindlebr /broken in several pieces.br /br / Don't let that discourage you from orderingbr /this brand. Just don't order it from Amazon.br /br /
Maxell is the best February 6, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
My Husband uses a lot of DVD-R with his hobby. He will only use Maxell because of it's compatibility with all players. He never has any problems using it, and his projects always turn out great. He has used other brands and there always seemed to be problems. He uses maxell exclusively
