5 out of 5 stars GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY   February 5, 2010
DMD (INDPLS., IN)
I bought this phone mostly for my mother who can't see or hear very well. She can use it with ease. The receiver sound quality is good incoming and outgoing. The phone ring is loud for the hearing impaired. The big dial buttons are great. The downside side on this phone is the speaker phone part isn't very loud incoming and outgoing. Phone is easy to program and operate. I ordered another one for the kitchen. For $10.00 it is a pretty good buy.

Nice cheap phones that work great. The speaker phone part is low level but it does work somewhat. Nice big buttons my granny can see to still dial the wrong number.

4 out of 5 stars Great jWin JTP390WHT phone for disable senior to make calls   June 7, 2009

My mom loves the big button 1" x 1.25". She can see them up close. She has gain confidence to make calls again, especially the 13 speed dials. I taped black electrical over the tiny auto button to make it more visible during speed dialing. I also made a convenient speed dial chart. For example, 1- red circle (speaker button) 2- black circle (auto button) 3- number (speed dial button) 4- name. Higher models do not have 13 speed dials and big buttons. She uses this phone to make calls and another cordless to talk. She has been using this for a month and the speaker is okay. This is a wonderful phone for senior to make calls.

4 out of 5 stars Good phone, bad speakerphone   May 6, 2010
Mr. A. Markwart (United States of Whatever)
If you have thick glasses (like me) and you want a decent corded phone for your nightstand which you can dial without putting on your glasses, this is the phone for you. This availability and convenience cannot be overstated, especially in an age where we depend on emergency services at the end of a phone line. The sound quality is decent if you use the handset.

Unfortunately, the speakerphone quality is poor. However, it does not require batteries nor an electrical outlet to function.

I haven't tried the programmable buttons. Whatever you do, don't lose the manual, or you'll never figure them out.

Also, the speakerphone button makes it easy for cats to activate (and dial!) the phone by stepping on the buttons.

The price is certainly nice. I had difficulty finding a traditional corded phone at a reasonable price.

3 out of 5 stars It not bad   April 27, 2010

This phone works great after I had to get an additional part to make it work. The cord that goes to the phone has the wrong pins used on it and I had to go buy a new cord to make it work. Cheaper to buy the cord then send it back. Now the phone works perfect and my grandparents love it since their eye sight has gotten pretty bad.
