Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
If you are on the phone for hours a day, the benefits of a headset over a handset become clear--especially if it is as light and comfortable as the Plantronics T10 model. This phone uses a corded headset, which decreases mobility somewhat, but it is unusual in that it comes with every accessory you'll need to use the headset in an over-the-head or over-the-ear configuration.p Installing this phone is child's play. A standard telephone cord (included) connects the small base unit to a wall jack, and the headset cord connects to the front of the unit. No power cord is necessary. Plantronics used a standard telephone jack interface for the headset but wisely used light headphone cable instead of bulky telephone cord on the unit. This helps keep the headset's already low weight to a minimum. They've also thoughtfully included a small alligator clip on the headset cord so you can clip it to a shirt pocket and keep the cord from brushing your face as you move.p As mentioned, the headset microphone and speaker unit can be attached to an ear hook or a headband. The headband is very light and highly adjustable, but we preferred using the ear hooks. Plantronics packages three different sizes of hooks with the device, so there's bound to be one that fits. The hooks sit on your ear instead of using a clamping mechanism, and the entire assembly is so light and unobtrusive that we were able to forget it was there after a few minutes. The microphone is the type that extends to your cheek instead of in front of your lips, so you don't have to deal with it bumping against your lips when you talk. For all these reasons, we were able to wear the headset all day without it getting in the way or making us look like extras from a bad sci-fi movie.p As for the sound quality, it was great under most circumstances. The microphone is so sensitive that it can pick up the hum of a computer if it's pointed in that direction, so this may not be the best solution for noisy environments. For typical office use, the T10 is great as long as you don't need a lot of advanced features on the base, such as two-line input or caller ID. i--T. For comfort preferences, the convertible headset can be quickly configured for over-the-head or over-the-ear style. The tone-control dial lets you personalize the bass and treble of the headset sound, and the listen-volume dial lets you adjust the incoming sound level. The contoured keypad is designed to be accessible and user friendly. Another feature is the online indicator, which illuminates when the headset is in use to let others know that you are busy. The T10 comes with a headset stand that provides convenient storage for the headset when it is not in use. Since the T10's cable connects to existing telephone jacks, installation of your T10 is simple.

2 out of 5 stars Very poor, people cant hear you   December 3, 2008
Headset is ok.br /br /There is no Silent alert function, which is silly for a headset only phone setup. It has to ring to base unit.br /br /br /The headband is large, most women will find it too large to wear comfortablybr /br /The mic on the headset is poor, people can barely hear you. This was tried calling several people, with different users on the headset. All produced poor call quality.br /br /The volume is a minimal adjustment. It is definately not amplified.br /br /Tone was a nice feature, but again, minor adjustment. Not like the tone settings on a radio for instance, from 1-10. But more like from 5-6 br /br /br /Poor product, plan on returning it. br /br /br /The earpiece is also silly, hard plastic, so if you plan to wear on the ear, it will be unconfortable for extended wear.

2 out of 5 stars Great concept, terrible quality   December 1, 2008
After reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided to still go ahead and pick this headset up. The concept of the phone is fantastic, a small footprint and very intuitive controls. The large buttons and lights make it easy to tell when the line is active and mute is on.br /br /The big problem with this phone is line noise. After using it for a day, I have to retire this phone as it is completely unusable. The noise can be heard on both sides of the call. Also, I tried two different phone lines at two different houses, same result. Other coredless phones sound perfectly clear on the same lines.

4 out of 5 stars Plantronics T10 Corded Headset   November 23, 2008
I purchased this product for a client that wished to be able to make extended-length phone calls from a more comfortable location in the office. This unit was a very good solution and the client is more that happy.

1 out of 5 stars Wrong Product   November 10, 2008
I ordered this product Plantronics T10 Corded Headset Phone (Purchased on 10/02/2008) by Plantronics frombr /[...] through Amazon.com. It took about a week to get to me and being this is my first time using this product, I thought everything would be fine,(seeing that the invoice had the right product info.) But low and behold to my surprise when I received a T20 instead of the T10 I had ordered. I had to work with the darn thing and could not get to return it. So now I'm stuck with a product I simply didn't order. The product itself is a fine product if you want something that requires the use of electricity, but I didn't. The fact that I ordered a T10 was for the sole purpose of not having to plug yet another device into a wall jack. So I say to you my friends there is seemingly no way to know what you'll be getting under false advertisement. I've learned my lesson, and it just took my FIRST purchase...[...]br /

4 out of 5 stars Good phone!   November 3, 2008
The seller delievered the phone right on time. The telephone works as expected but the volume is a little bit low even after ajusting the volume control to the maximum level. I am sure is not a defective unit because I have 2 of these phones
